I confess, I'm addicted to Devil May Cry 4, it's so exciting and fun, super nice graphics on my computer. Hahaha. But, 2 days after my new computer had set up, my computer got infected with viruses! Damn it, waste my time, stupid popups, slowing down my system. Found the source and deleted it away. And the system goes back to normal.

What the hell, the virus come back again. It returns back everytime I boot up my computer. Hate it man, make me have to install Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. What's more, this 2 softwares quite resource hogging and in the end the program is not responding.

Received something from my mailbox!

Guess what it is inside! Windows Home Server installation disk!

Haha. It's free and free delivery, so if you are interested to get a copy, you may visit here.
So why am I getting it when I can download it on BitTorrent? That's because I'm lazy to download it and since it's free, why not get it from Microsoft?

What does this operating system do?

It is a server operating system based on the Windows Server 2003 core and provides a centralized system for all your photos, music, documents, backups and etc. It even allows you to access your files by using your own personalized website when you are away from your home.

The package includes the Windows Home Server Installation DVD, Windows Home Server Connector CD and Home Computer Restore CD. It allows you to evaluate it for 120 days. The requirements to run this system is not very demanding, if your computer is able to run Windows XP, you will be able to run this Windows Home Server.

Installation is a breeze, installs like the normal Windows XP setup. Once the setup is finished, it shows up the logon screen.

The remote access is interesting, you can access your server files by logging in using the given account and be able to access the files with the permissions set for each shared folders. EA Games announced the next installment of EA's street-racing franchise: Need for Speed: Undercover. It will be released on the following platforms: PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360, iPhone and mobile phone. It is scheduled to be retail on Nov 18.

The boxart:

The game will feature the international movie star, Maggie Q, as one of the lead characters in the game. The live-action sequences from Carbon and Most Wanted will return in Undercover. Police chases from previous installments will also return, as well the new Highway Battle mode.

The game's story mode sets the player in the story as a police officer going undercover into the criminal underground of Tri-city, a fictional city where the game is set. The player's only contact to the police is Chase Linh, played by Maggie Q. The gameplay is supposed to allow the player to make Hollywood-style stunts and driving moves, making him 'feel like a hero'. Tri-city is a free-roam area, and the advancement in the story mode is mission-based.

It was the last day of COMEX 2008. Went there to buy a printer. Got an Epson C110 Series Printer. Costs me $138. Bought some more ink cartridges refill packs since they offer 20% discount.

3 new interns from SP are attached to SABIC IP for 6 weeks. They are attached to the 'hopeless' Maintenance department. Lol. Their supervisor planned to let them do stock-taking at the storehouse for their whole attachement period. Haha. Stock-taking is going to be boring as the storehouse is so big until... Likely they would slack inside. Haha.

Today is SABIC IP 1st anniversary since SABIC acquired GE Plastics. Since morning, I had been wondering why there is the scent of cooked food travelling all over the QA lab. Went out to the reception desk, then found out there's a buffet going to be held. The buffet cater is from Kriston (http://www.kriston.com/). By afternoon, all employees were invited to have their lunch buffet at the reception. We interns quite stupid and went out to eat. There were a lot of nice and high-class food. I ate some buffet food even though we went out to eat. Took a picture on the desert.

High-class cups... It's green tea jelly with half a slice of strawberry. This picture was taken at normal daylight condition using the so called 'Light machine'. Haha.

A birthday cake with a size of a 42 inch wide LCD TV I think were shared among all of us. o.o

Finally found a buyer to buy my motherboard. I posted it 2 months ago, finally able to deal at a price of $70.

Hmm. The picture below shows so many muffins from Tea Coffee Break! Who is so nice to treat so many muffins? Of course not me, it's the company, this was to compensate for those working shift and missed the buffet yesterday. But, there were extras, so non-shift people get to share the muffins!

Left house in the morning 10.30am and went Nokia service centre at Wheelock. Queues were long and by the time I left the centre, it was 12pm already.

Initially planned to meet the motherboard buyer and meet another person to buy thermal paste at Sengkang at 2pm. The motherboard buyer changed the meet up location to Orchard Borders which is at Wheelock at 1pm! Zzz.

Nevertheless, met up at 1.30pm and sold the board. After that all the way from Orchard to Sengkang, I was so tired, resting in the train... Reached at 2.20pm at Sengkang Compass Point, that nice guy wearing Best uniform which I think working at Best, sold 2 packs of thermal paste to me @ $24.

Took train back to Bugis to buy new motherboard for my computer! Reached there at 3.15pm, went to Video-Pro, the only shop which sells the cheap but outdated Asus board @ $169. The salesperson at the counter told me dont have it. :(

I went home and see what other boards I can buy. Went to SLS at 5pm and decided to buy the cheap and value Palit board at Video-Pro for $84.

At the same time, I headed to Fuwell, talked to one of the salesperson to ask for Palit HD3870. "Yes, we have stocks for that." Quickly purchased one @ $155 after 2% cash discount. Luckily never buy it at COMEX.

Been busy this few days... no time to blog haha...

After work, went home to eat something before going to PS to celebrate YL's birthday. Initially decided to meet at 8.30pm, ended up they reached at 9pm. Initially decided to have our dinner at Fish & Co., reached there at 9.30pm but the waiter/waitress said we have to leave at 10.30pm. Headed back to PS, settled at Cafe Cartel. YL/SF/TX/Nigel/Linda ordered a Crispy Jumbo Combo and a pork rib which I think is St. Louis Pork Ribs haha. Only have the picture of the Crispy Jumbo Combo:

As usual in the morning, I continued with the colour chips arrangement. I calculated how many I have done. 2 hours = 90 boxes. I was told there are about 5000-6000 boxes, so if there are 6000 boxes = 133 hours.

Today was also the Cooking Challenge organised by the company. Left the company 3.30pm and reached VivoCity at 3.50pm. There were more than 40 people signed up for this event. We were splitted into teams of various departments, where small departments merged and form one group. There are a total of 5 teams. Edwin and I plus Lalit and Zhang represented the Manufacturing department. We merged with the Pacific department to form a bigger group. The event organiser is Focus Adventure. We were briefed on what is going on for the next few hours.

Started buying food at 4.30pm with a given budget of S$50 at Giant hypermarket. We had to prepare three dishes, the main dish, side dish and desert. For desert, we decided to make a fruit salad, bought ready-packed fruits, choclate chips, grapes and vanilla ice-cream. For main dish, we decided to prepare a pasta dish but the ingredients were bought by other colleagues in my team. Headed to the cashier, the items we bought costs $49.54, we added in a lollipop to make it $49.93, closer to $50 mark lol.

Rushing back to the 3rd floor of VivoCity to take the Sentosa Express to Imbiah Station. We were given some guidance to the location of where we can cook our food. 10 minutes walk and we reached the Focus Adventure site. The Focus Adventure organsiers told us something before we started cooking. "Ladies and Gentlemans, place your ingredients on the table. Team 1 will use Team 2 ingredients while Team 2 will use Team 3 ingredients and so on to prepare your dishes."

Wah, we were all shocked. Started the cooking at 5.45pm and was given until 6.30pm to present the 3 dishes. Here is the mess of other team's ingredients we will using on the table:

So the main dish that they were intending to prepare was the fried rice, the side dish is the egg omelette and the desert we are unsure because there are only 2 bananas and cherries. That's when the organiser said that we have to share/bargain/borrow any ingredients from other teams. I'm not capable of cooking so I helping to peel onions, bananas, washing, etc.

In the end we managed to prepare the required dishes. Here are the pictures:

After work on Fri, was planned to go VivoCity shop with ZJ, TX, HX, YL, Edm and Nigel...

On my way home met xueyuan at Lakeside MRT station... He was queuing at the ATM to cheque have been processed to buy TOTO lol...

When talking about TOTO, Kevin said that our company one male cleaner bet 100 sets of numbers... Wa I was shocked... 100 sets... costs a lot man, somemore not 100% win. Then kevin said that he plays stock market also, kevin said during his free time, he would use the com to check his stocks, all red numbers (means losing $) lol... Hmm... addicted gambler... that's what another auntie cleaner told me... he so old, still single, gamble away his money, how to have money to support wife... i was laughing, haha...

Decided to go home first since meeting at 7.30pm and my bag was heavy...

Haha... They reached at 7.45pm! Lol... Settled our dinner at Pastamania... Quite crowded and we waited quite a while to get a table of 6... Most of us ordered baked rice... Lol... It's quite delicious...

After finished our dinner, TX passed me smth... Guess what... inside the plastic bag, it was a Zinc bag haha... inside there are 3 clothes!!! Thanks ppl for the present!!!

Chatting for a while, we went to find YL lol... she was eating ice cream with her friend... Then initially wanted to eat supper near Great World City there, but Edm's car cannot squeeze so many ppl... end up accompanying them to Kovan area there to eat 豆花... Does 豆花 reduce sperm count? it somehows influence haha... i found an article on this haha...

Happy 43th birthday to Singapore! lol... It was the Day 1 of Olympics... The first event I watched was Weightlifting Women's... Strong sia... Eventually the China won the first gold attempting with a total of 212 kg...

Updated my blog with a horse template lol... easy to read, chat and vote haha... Been sleeping the whole day so nothing much to write lol... National Day parade started at 6pm... Watched the TV live telecast lol... While watching heard the helicopter flying the flag to Marina Bay haha... I took a video lol...

Monday was an off day for me to make up for the National Day public holiday... As usual, no work in the morning means I have to go hawker centre to wash bowls... Woke up early in the morning, and worked until 10am... Once back, watched the Olympics, Singapore Ronald Susilo vs Malaysia Lee Chong Wei... talking about this, ronald got owned by lee... lol... starting win him abit, when lee started to know his moves, he owned back the game and kena knocked out of the competition... First 20mins he started to lose the game, suddenly Ch 5 switched to women's swimming, featuring Tao Li... haha... though got 5th, i think it would be a honour to get into top 7... hehe...

Tuesday... back to work... first thing i open my email, wow so many lot chips request... haha spent the whole morning to finish everything... hehe...

After my lunch, I started drawing out graphs on my MP... to make a comparison on how the results fare for the 3 weeks I have done... most of them are quite constant with the exception of some which might be because of my mistake... hehe...

SF/Edm asked us to shop at orchard after work... hehe... Guess what, SF hairstyle changed after rebonding... We were making fun of her hair since we met up hehe... Managed to get some shots, see below... OMG... Decided to put some photos since not many ppl knows my blog hehe... Feel free to comment on her on hair on Sat during campus discussion lol...

today's date is 8 August 2008, in short it is 08/08/2008...

many things are happening today.

today is the start of the beijing olympics
today's date consists of three "8". "8" is considered a lucky number because it sounds like the word "prosper" or "wealth" (发).
lots of couples are getting married at this auspicious date.
etc... which i cannot remember...

today is friday. people will choose to take leave today as tommorrow is a holiday - national day... monday is a public holiday also. Friday, saturday, sunday and monday- total of 4 days of break for those who are taking leave on fri.

what am i doing today?

answer is simple - working. haha

what i did today?
1) lot chips requests... never ending requests... kiu on leave till 12th.. all requests will be forwarded to me...

2) did tensile and flexural test for cycoloy 1st week sample...
3) did notching and impact test for lexan and cycoloy...

zzz... because i blur blur, thought everything completed, when compling data, found out missed out a graph, calculations data, impact test results by using notching machine 2... what's worse i used up all the samples for cycolac, no choice i have to anyhow put the figures in...

because of the stupid safety compliance audit from monday to thurs, i was not allowed to operate any machines in the lab, as the auditors from china may walk around and catch us red handed when operating anything unsafely...

4) complete my compliation of my MP data results...

complie nicely for each grade, each week, with the impact, tensile and flexural test results so that i can start writing my logbook and prepare for 2nd campus discussion...

anyone know where to get nice templates? how to set my posting time to SG time?

we went to kopitiam food court to eat... i ordered the 香鲍面... costs $3.50... the very first time i ate 香鲍面 was 2 weeks ago, the taste of the noodles and the seasoning are just very similar to the noodles shophouse near edm's house... it was so delicious... yummy... though the serving was quite little, eat finish you will still feel hungry...

time flies and back to the office to continue my work... lots of chips request...

since morning, i have been given a task... to update the approved chemical list by adding a column to specifiy whether the specific chemical contains toxic substances... there are 2 sheets in the excel file... direct and indirect... 497 chemicals in direct sheet and 103 chemicals in indirect sheet...

firstly... i added a column and named it "Toxic Substance or Material (Y/N)"... then i have to go to this intranet provided by janice, it's called CheMan, i think it is the short form of chemical management... http://3.242.96.20/gepr/web/index.aspx... this webpage is quite stupid... need to login to access the page, inactive usage logs out the account... sometimes internet lag, it will cause error and i have to ask her to log in back...

then click singapore, wait for it to load, then click >> to select all options in the middle column, the options in the middle column will be moved to the right column...

then after that i have to take the CAS number from the approved chemical list and paste it into the search box in CheMan... then if the search results appear that it is not toxic, it will show:

Hi all... First post... 2nd day of my 19 years old... lol... decided to create a blog to faciliate me to write my SIP logbook... i try to blog during my office hours so that i can write what are the things that i have done in the office... in future will write other things also lol... it also serves as a backup 'brain' as the posts will not disappear while the human brain memory is limited - you tend to do this and forget that...

in the past, i feel that blogging is a waste of time, i rather play maple bla bla bla... haha... now felt that maple getting bored and dont know why my mindset suddenly change at this moment, feel that blogging might be a fun thing...

right now my office computer has restrictions on certain websites, so i just setup first, and edit when i reach home...

decided to add a myflashbox though many of you out there are using cbox... the reason? simply because my company's computer disables the use of cbox... but myflashbox can still be used... haha...

ok that's all for my intro... dont want to be too long winded... will post more later on... cya
